‘서점’에 대해서 선현우 & 최경은 Iyagi Episode 2

6. 선현우 : 네, 여러분, 반갑습니다. 지금은 이야기 두번째 시간(네)이죠?
7. 최경은 : 네, 맞아요.
8. 선현우 : 오늘은 서점에 대해서 이야기를 해 볼 거예요.
9. 최경은 : 서점이요?
10. 선현우 : 네, 서점.
11. 최경은 : 서점.
12. 선현우 : 네, 책을 파는 곳이죠?
13. 최경은 : 네, 맞아요.
14. 선현우 : 네. 서점에서는 책을 파는데 사실 책이 아닌 (네) 다른 물건들도 많이 팔잖아요?
15. 최경은 : 네, 맞아요.
16. 선현우 : 경은 씨 서점에 자주 가세요?
17. 최경은 : 아니요. 자주 못 가요.
18. 선현우 : 자주 못가요? 아니면 자주 안 가요?
19. 최경은 : 자주 못가요. 가고 싶은데 못 가요. (아, 그래요?) 시간이 없어요.
20. 선현우 : 시간이 없어요?
21. 최경은 : 네. (음~) 너무 바빠요.
22. 선현우 : 그래요?
23. 최경은 : 현우 씨는요?
24. 선현우 : 저는 서점에 자주 가요.
25. 최경은 : 아, 얼마나 자주 가요?
26. 선현우 : 음... 일주일에 두 번?
27. 최경은 : 와, 진짜요?
28. 선현우 : 네. 일주일에 두 번 가고, 그리고 그냥 실제 서점 말고 (네) 인터넷 서점도 자주 가는 것같아요. (아~) 그런데 인터넷 서점에서는 책을 안 사요.
29. 최경은 : 왜요?
30. 선현우 : 그냥 책은 음... 직접 손으로 (네) 만져 보고 (네) 직접 그 자리에서 읽어 보고 (아~) 사는 편이어서 (아~) 예.
31. 최경은 : 근데 저도 서점에 가는 거 좋지만, (네) 인터넷 서점이 훨씬 싸요. (그래요?) 한국에서는요.
32. 선현우 : 맞아요. 그건 알고 있어요. 알고 있는데 (네) 음... 그냥 서점에서 직접 책을 보고 (네)조금 읽어 보고 (네) 사고 싶어서 (아~) 서점에서 책을 사요. (네)그런데 제가 젤 좋아하는 서점은 종각에 있는 영풍문고인데,
33. 최경은 : 아~ 영풍문고.
34. 선현우 : 네, 아세요?
35. 최경은 : 유명하죠.
36. 선현우 : 네. 영풍문고 정말 좋아요. (아~) 좋은데 (네) 얼마 전에 큰 공사를 했어요.
37. 최경은 : 아, 그래요?
38. 선현우 : 네, 그래서 영풍문고가 지하 1층, 지하 2층에 있는데 (아~) 지하 2층은 전부 (네) 책이아니라 (네) 문구 (아, 정말요?) 그러니까 공책, (아~) 연필, 펜 또는 카메라, 스피커,뭐, 컴퓨터...
39. 최경은 : 서점 맞아요?
40. 선현우 : 네. 지하 1층만 서점이에요. (아~) 그런데 제 생각에는 (네) 지하 2층에 그렇게 문구,(네) 전자 제품 이런 것들이 정말 많아서, 더 돈을 많이 벌고 있는 것 같아요.
41. 최경은 : 아, 그렇군요.
42. 선현우 : 그렇지 않아요?
43. 최경은 : 그런 것 같아요.
44. 선현우 : 네. 사람들은 책도 보고 싶지만, (네) 서점에 갈 때는 그냥, 그냥 무언가를 보고 싶어서가잖아요?
45. 최경은 : 네, 그렇죠.
46. 선현우 : 그리고 돈을 쓰고 싶어서 가잖아요?
47. 최경은 : 그래요?
48. 선현우 : 음... 돈을 쓰고 싶어서 가는 거 아닌가요?
49. 최경은 : 아니죠. 그게 아니라 그냥 (뭔가 가지고 싶어서) 그냥 갔는데 그런 너무 예쁜 것들이많아서 유혹에 빠져서 사는 거에요. 돈을 쓰는 거죠. (아... 그럴 수도) 저는 그래요.(있어요?)
50. 선현우 : 저도 물론 돈을 쓰고 싶지는 않아요. (네) 그런데 돈을 쓰면 내 것으로 (네) 물건을 가져올 수 있잖아요? (아~ 예.) 그래서 살 수 있잖아요. (네, 맞아요.) 그런 느낌 때문에 가고, (음~) 사실 보고 다 사지는 않아요.
51. 최경은 : 다 사면 큰일나죠.
52. 선현우 : 맞아요. 돈이 없겠죠?
53. 최경은 : 네, 큰일나요.
54. 선현우 : 네, 그래서 서점에 가서 책도 보고, 문구도 보고, 컴퓨터도 보고, (아~) 새로 나온 카메라도 보고. 그렇게 자주 해요.
55. 최경은 : 아~ 저도 종로에 있는 반디앤루니스라는 서점을 좋아하는데 (음~) 그 서점을 좋아하는 이유가 우리나라에서 처음으로 (네) 서점에 의자를 놨어요.
56. 선현우 : 맞아요. 맞아요,
57. 최경은 : 네, 옛날에는 항상 사람들이 서서 (네) 책을 볼 수 밖에 없었거든요. (네) 근데      반디앤루니스에서는 의자에 앉아서 책을 보다가 사면 되니까 (음) 그 점이 너무 좋아서, 그 뒤부터 반디앤루니스만 가요.
58. 선현우 : 네, 굉장히 편해요.
59. 최경은 : 네, 맞아요.
60. 선현우 : 그런데 아셨어요? 그런... 다른 서점에도 (네) 의자가 이제 있어요.
61. 최경은 : 네, 이제 생겼죠.
62. 선현우 : 네, 네. 그래서 저도 영풍문고에 가서, 의자에 앉아서 (네) 책을 볼 때도 있고, (네)아니면 그냥, 예 , 서서 볼 때도 있는데 저는 그 문구를 많이 볼 수 있어서 (아) 좋아요.그래서 서점에 자주 가요. (아...) 네.
63. 최경은 : 저는 일부러 문구 있는 데는 잘 안가요. (아~) 돈을 쓰게 되니까.
64. 선현우 : 네~ 그것도 이해가 됩니다.

8. Hyunwoo : Today we’ll talk about bookstores.
9. Kyeongeun : Bookstores?
10. Hyunwoo : Yes, bookstores.
11. Kyeongeun : Bookstores.
12. Hyunwoo : Yes, it’s where they sell books?
13. Kyeongeun : Yes. That’s right.
14. Hyunwoo : Yes. They sell books at bookstores but actually they sell a lot of other things(Yes) besides books, right?
15. Kyeongeun : Yes. That’s right.
16. Hyunwoo : Do you go to bookstores often, Kyeongeun?
17. Kyeongeun : No. I can’t go often.
18. Hyunwoo : You can’t go often? Or you don’t go often?
19. Kyeongeun : I can’t go often. I want to but I can’t. (Ah, is that so?) I don’t have time.
20. Hyunwoo : You don’t have time?
21. Kyeongeun : No. (Hmm…) Too busy.
22. Hyunwoo : Are you?
23. Kyeongeun : What about you, Hyunwoo?
24. Hyunwoo : I go to bookstores often.
25. Kyeongeun : Ah, how often?
26. Hyunwoo : Hmm... twice a week?
27. Kyeongeun : Wow, really?
28. Hyunwoo : Yes. Twice a week, and besides the real bookstores (Yes) I feel like I visit internetbookstores a lot as well. (Ah…) But I don’t buy books from internet bookstores.
29. Kyeongeun : Why not?
30. Hyunwoo : Because books, hmm... I like to feel them directly (Yes) and read them on thespot (Yes) and then tend to buy them (Ah…) So.
31. Kyeongeun : I like going to the bookstore too (Yes), but internet bookstores are muchcheaper. (Really?) In Korea.
32. Hyunwoo : That’s true. I know that. I know that (Yes) but… hmm… I like actually seeing thebooks (Yes) and read them a bit (Yes) and buying them (Ah) so I buy books from thebookstore. (I see) Well, my favorite bookstore is Youngpoong Books at Jonggak,
33. Kyeongeun : Ah, Youngpoong Books.
34. Hyunwoo : Yes, do you know?
35. Kyeongeun : It’s famous.
36. Hyunwoo : Yes. Youngpoong Books is really great. (Ah) It’s great (Yes) and they wentthrough major renovations a while back.
37. Kyeongeun : Ah, really?
38. Hyunwoo : Yes, so Youngpoong Books has B1 and B2 floors (Ah) and the entire B2 floor (Yes)doesn’t have books (Yes) but stationery (Ah, really?), meaning notebooks (Ah),pencils, pens, or cameras, speakers, well, computers…
39. Kyeongeun : That’s a bookstore?
40. Hyunwoo : Yes. Only the B1 floor is the bookstore. (Ah) But I think they earn more moneybecause of the stationery (Yes) and stuff like the electronic products on the B2floor (Yes).
41. Kyeongeun : Ah, I see.
42. Hyunwoo : Don’t you think so?
43. Kyeongeun : They probably do.
44. Hyunwoo : Yes. People also want to read books (Yes) but sometimes they go to thebookstore because they just want to see stuff.
45. Kyeongeun : Yes. That’s right.
46. Hyunwoo : And they go because they want to spend money.
47. Kyeongeun : Really?
48. Hyunwoo : Hmm... Aren’t they going because they want to spend money?
49. Kyeongeun : No. It’s not that, they go (because they just want something) just because andfall into temptation because there are so many pretty things. So they spend money.(Ah.. that’s plausible.) In my case, that is. (Really?)
50. Hyunwoo : Of course I don’t want to spend money. (I see.) But if I spend money (Yes) I canbring something back, right? (Ah, yes.) So you can buy things. (Yes, true.) So I gofor that (Hmm…) but actually I don’t buy everything I see.
51. Kyeongeun : It’s a serious problem if you buy everything.
52. Hyunwoo : Right. No money left?
53. Kyeongeun : Right, serious.
54. Hyunwoo : Yes, so I go to the bookstore to see books, stationery, computers (Ah), newcameras. I do that often.
55. Kyeongeun : Ah… I also like the bookstore Bandi & Lunis in Jongno (Hmm). The reason whyI like that bookstore is because it’s the first (Yes) bookstore in Korea to put chairsin their store.
56. Hyunwoo : Right, right.
57. Kyeongeun : Yes. Before, people always had to stand up to read. (Yes) But at Bandi & Lunisyou can read while sitting down and then buy the book (Hmm). I like that a lot, so Igo to Bandi & Lunis after that.
58. Hyunwoo : Yes, it’s very convenient.
59. Kyeongeun : Yes. That’s right.
60. Hyunwoo: But did you know? That... other bookstores (Yes) have chairs now, too.
61. Kyeongeun : Yes, they have them, too.
62. Hyunwoo : Yes, yes. So when I go to Youngpoong (Yes) I read a book while sitting down (Yes)or well, yes, there are times when I read while standing but I like it because I cansee a lot of stationery. (Ah). That’s why I go to the bookstore a lot. (Ah…) Yes.
63. Kyeongeun : I deliberately don’t go to the stationery section. (Ah) Because I tend to spendmoney.
64. Hyunwoo : Yes, I understand that, too.
65. Kyeongeun : Yes.
66. Hyunwoo : Yes. So what about everybody? Do you often go to the bookstore? And do youhave bookstores, large bookstores, near where you live?
67. Kyeongeun : Yes, and do you read a lot of books?
